Marine Bean XL is our most popular outdoor beanbag. Its award-winning, New Zealand design is the product of considerable research and development and 20+ years of field testing - much of it involving relaxing in the sun - a tough job, but someone had to do it.
Nine precisely shaped Sunbrella panels (instead of the usual 5) give the Marine Bean its uniquely comfortable shape.
The Marine Bean is perfect for relaxing on deck, around the pool, out on the lawn or at the beach. Tough enough to stay outdoors year-round, yet smart enough to complement the most elegant interior.

The Isla Chair combines the comfort you expect from the classic Marine Bean with the flexibility of modular furniture. This has been achieved through the development of a unique (patented) internal structure, which supports the beanbag, yet remains comfortable and forgiving.
The Isla collection comprises the ottoman, chair and lounger, a truly modular collection which can be deployed individually or together.

The fabric covers are made in New Zealand from Sunbrella brand fabrics, which offer unparalleled performance and durability. The covers are quilted with fast-drying reticulated foam for your comfort and are easy to remove for cleaning and storage.

AIR-FILLED LINER
Our innovative (patent pending) cloud-filled™ technology incorporates an air-filled liner made with heavy duty, marine-grade marine-quality reinforced PVC and incorporating drop-stitch fabrics more usually found in high-spec stand-up paddleboards and tenders. All seams are heat welded (not glued) for strength and longevity.
The liners are fitted with a standard marine inflatable boat inflation/deflation valve and can be inflated with a normal inflatable boat pump, or the USB electric pump supplied. The Nimbus Lounger can be deflated and rolled up to a compact size for convenient transportation and easy storage.

About Us
In 2003 Nicola and Alex Webster started Coast New Zealand with the specific goal of establishing a luxury brand that would reflect New Zealand’s unique quality of life.
Our Approach
We started out as a specialist supplier to super-yachts - which remains a significant part of our business - and we have always sought to emulate the exacting standards of modern luxury boatbuilders.
Accordingly, our design process has concentrated as much on materials and construction as on aesthetics and style, to ensure that everything we make is not only enduring, but timeless.

Our attention to detail is rigorous and uncompromising, because, after all, every product is only as good as its weakest component.
We always use the most enduring fabrics and parts that we can find and that are equal to the task at hand. In the case of our luxury outdoor beanbags and air-filled furniture, we use Sunbrella marine-grade fabrics.

This means that they cost a little more, but on the other hand, the longevity of most other outdoor beanbags is measurable only by their half-life in a landfill.

We use high-quality zips and pullers from YKK in Japan. These legendary zips will far outlast cheaper imitations.
Attention to Detail
WATERPROOF LINING
The high-quality polyester liner holds the beans, allowing the Sunbrella cover to be removed for cleaning or airing. The liner features an air-vent to minimise strain on the seams and to promote airflow through the beans.
